Chapter 18: Full Orchestral Piece Part 4: Brass Richness
Full Orchestral Piece Part 4
It’s time to extend the Brass writing for the piece next, using the Multi-Tongue techniques for Horns and Trombones to add some roughed-up gestures into important downbeats.
These need a bit of thinking about, both in terms of Velocity and timing placement but once they’ve been edited, they sound great. And we’ll also bring out a super low note for the Tuba to wrap up the end of the first phrase of the piece, to extend the harmonic range into new, cinematic depths.
