Whether you grew up with hi-fi amplifiers with Treble and Bass cut/boost controls, or whether you reach for those settings on a modern smartphone, the notion of a generous, frequency-extending EQ which grows exponentially at both the treble and bass ends of a mix was pioneered by Baxandall and is still popular today.
