Setting Up and Recording Instrument 2 - Bass

In this chapter, I’ll show you how to add some extra depth to your Track.

We’re going to start by learning that MIDI - the language which powers the Software Instruments in our Tracks - allows us to easily choose a different project Tempo, without affecting pitch. In the Transport Bar, we can simply choose a different speed and the Piano part will lock to that new Tempo.

Then I’ll show you how to set up a second Software Instrument track to add a Bass to the Piano. Lastly, I’ll add a third Instrument, showing you that even once a part is recorded, you can change its sound. There’s no need to delete a Track, even if you decide against using the sound you set up for it, as you can always repurpose it to a new Instrument later on.
